Don’t use pencil shavings on consumable plants…the paint is not good for the soil and may leach into the plant!!

    Great tips, thanks:)

Just make sure to cut loose with a clean knife or work loose with your fingers the root-bound plant, and get the roots going downward again. If they are going sideways and aren’t cut free, they’ll keep growing in a circle in the new pot or in the ground, and that will choke the plant to death.

  35. Theheavydress on March 14, 2019 at 9:13 pm

Great video, I love your channel. However, I don’t know if that’s your aquarium you filmed but that filter is way too fast and vigorous for those fish and It will stress them out and cause sickness and death. The stream shouldn’t be so fast that the fish are launched to the other side of the tank like that. We all make mistakes, just wanted to inform you you might want to turn your settings down or look into under gravel filtration.

The floating seed thing to check viability isn’t very accurate though, some seeds will float regardless and others will sink even if they aren’t viable. smaller seeds might be help up with water’s surface tension. As a general rule of thumb they should be given a few hours at least and 24 preferably to see if the floaters have sunk, if they are still floating, give them a gentle tap to send them underwater and see if they sink or resurface. those that are still floating after several hours soaking and re surface after a few taps are mostly dead.
